Open Book
We began Open Book during the pandemic when we started to “shelter in place” and looked at the books all around us and began to share readings from them. Our oldest daughter, Elise, was our original director, our youngest daughter, Paulina, an occasional contributor, and our dog, Daisy, and foster cat, Gato, make frequent guest appearances.
We began to add interviews with authors through the magic of Zoom. We continue to do these videocasts as a way of getting together with words in these contentious times, and a community of people have gathered to share them, too.
They air daily, usually at 6:15 pm ET, but they are available for viewing anytime on X. Every guest has brought moments of levity, insight and joy to our day. We are grateful to them, and to you for participating and/or watching.

Mr Simon, this was beautiful. My husband and I celebrated 16 years of mariage today. We listened to you together, every weekend from our first few dates for years afterwards. In our minds, you're the narrator of our lives together, and we're so grateful for that.
